When we fix your iPhone under warranty, we will only use genuine Apple Authorised service parts provided by Apple. On some occasions, Apple may find the issue(s) with your phone are not able to be repaired and instead, they may replace your iPhone. The replacement will be new or equivalent to new in both performance and reliability. We guarantee our service, including replacement parts, for 90 days or the remaining term of your Apple warranty or AppleCare+ coverage, whichever is longer. This is in addition to rights provided by consumer law.
If your iPhone or the issue is not covered under warranty, AppleCare+, or consumer law then we charge an assessment fee of $42.50 incl GST. This assessment fee covers an Apple Certified Technician isolating the issue and providing a quote for repair, replacement or insurance purposes.
Whenever we perform a repair on your iPhone we will only use genuine Apple Authorised service parts which will be backed by an Apple 90-day service warranty in addition to rights provided by consumer law.
Repairs are considered out of warranty when:
Your iPhone is over one year old.
Your iPhone has an issue that’s not covered under warranty or consumer law, like accidental damage or damage caused by unauthorized modifications.
We might be able to fix or replace your product for an out-of-warranty fee. If we replace your iPhone, the replacement will be new or equivalent to new in both performance and reliability.

If you have an issue that is covered under an Apple Exchange and Repair Extension Program then we can service the product for you. Depending on the program you are requesting service for, it may be serviced free of charge or there might be a fee.

When you choose to have your product serviced with Imagetext, we will first attempt to repair the issue in-store, however some issues may be more complex and require special tools or machinery. If this is the case, we will ship your iPhone to Apple’s Repair Depot for repair or replacement to ensure a high level of repair quality and a first-time fix.
Accidents happen and we are here to help! While it may seem like a simple repair, a screen repair is quite complex. Your display is much more than just a display, it houses the Touch / Face ID module in your device which is the gateway to keeping your personal information secure.
While you may see companies in malls and outlets around the country promoting same day screen service, it’s important to know that these companies are not authorised by Apple which also means they are not using genuine parts. This may void your warranty causing further damage to your device, and may even reduce the water resistance rating of your device.
When you get your display replaced through Imagetext, we ship your device to Apple’s Centralised Repair Depot who has the specialised tools and machinery on hand to make sure that your screen is replaced and recalibrated to the high standards expected while maintaining the water resistance rating and security of your device. This service can take between 5 and 7 working days.

Important Note: For your device to be eligible for display-only service, it must not have any other damage to the device. In order for Apple to replace the screen, the replacement screen must be able to fit perfectly into the enclosure, if there are dents or chips in the surrounding enclosure of the device it may not be eligible for screen-only service but may still be eligible for out of warranty service. We will advise you if this is the case once the phone has been assessed.
Depending on the type of issue(s) your device is experiencing, we may be able to repair it in-store or we may need to ship it to Apple for repair. Parts such as batteries, speakers, vibe modules, and cameras can often be repaired in-store*.
If we are unable to repair your device in-store, then we will ship your iPhone to Apple’s Repair Depot for repair or replacement to ensure a high level of repair quality and a first-time fix. For these repairs, loan phones may be available depending on the issue. Please refer to “Loan Phones” below for more information.

- Schedule a reservation if you’d like to spend a few minutes discussing your issue with a technician in-store when booking your device in, if not feel free to walk in for service.

When you get your iPhone back from service, simply insert your SIM into the iPhone and power it up. If you created a backup before service you can restore this following these steps. If you did not have a backup, then simply follow the on-screen setup assistant.

Imagetext are provided limited stock of Loan iPhones supplied by Apple in cases where we may need to mail your device to the Apple Repair Depot for assessment. Not all repairs are eligible for a loan phone so it’s important to Schedule a reservation if you’d like to see if a loaner is available for your repair.
If a loan phone is available for your repair, we will provide you a loan phone agreement to read and sign. We will also put a temporary authorisation on your credit card of $625-$725 incl GST as a bond, depending on the model. This authorisation will be cancelled once you return the loaner to us free of damages as per the loan agreement.

Apple has determined that, in a limited number of older generation 15-inch MacBook Pro units, the battery may overheat and pose a fire safety risk. Affected units were sold primarily between September 2015 and February 2017 and product eligibility is determined by the product serial number.
Customer safety is always Apple’s top priority, and Apple have voluntarily decided to replace affected batteries, free of charge.
Eligibility and Repair Process
- First check to see which 15-inch MacBook Pro you have. Choose About This Mac from the Apple menu () in the upper-left corner of your screen.
- Confirm your model is “MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015).”
- If you have that model, visit the battery recall website here – https://support.apple.com/en-nz/15-inch-macbook-pro-battery-recall and enter your computer’s serial number to see if it is eligible for this program.
- If your MacBook Pro is eligible, please stop using it and bring it in to us for service during the hours of Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm.
For these repairs no appointment is necessary.
- Your MacBook Pro will be examined prior to any service to verify that it is eligible for this program. Service may take 1-2 weeks.

Our assessment fee of $42.50 incl GST is payable when you drop your device off for any devices that are not covered under warranty, AppleCare+, or consumer law. If you feel your product should still be covered under warranty then please bring your original proof of purchase in with your device.
Follow these steps below to get your device ready for service. Completing these items will result in a quicker repair experience. If you need assistance we can also help you in-store*
- Bring your sales receipt (if possible), in case your service requires proof of purchase.
- Bring your device and any accessories that you need help with.
- Schedule a reservation if you’d like to spend a few minutes discussing your issue with a technician in-store when booking your device in, if not feel free to walk in for service.
*A service fee may be charged for additional technician time helping with backups and other software issues not covered by warranty.
Reservations are not required however if you require a few minutes with a technician when you arrive, you can visit the Apple website to Schedule a reservation with us. If you are happy to just drop your device off and leave it with us then a technician will begin the assessment and update you as quickly as possible.
We guarantee our service, including replacement parts, for 90 days or the remaining term of your Apple warranty or AppleCare+ coverage, whichever is longer. This is in addition to rights provided by consumer law. Apple offers this guarantee whenever you get service from us or from any Apple Authorised Service Provider.
